PORTIMAO ALL SET TO CLOSE OUT EUROPEAN CONTINENTAL SEASON

Friday, 20 October: Portimao is all set to play out the final act of the UIM-ABP Aquabike European Continental season when it plays host to the Endurance Championship on the 28 and 29 October.

 

A high turnout of riders is anticipated and will be headed by a large contingent of local riders including Ski division’s Joana Graça, Matteo Valente, Diogo Barbosa, Henrique Rosa Gomes, Sebastião Fragoso and Spanish rider Vicente Cano.

 

In Runabout top names include the Portuguese and Iberian National Endurance Champion Augusto Fernandes, the Iberian European Champion in closed course, Christophe Agostinho, who will pair with his brother Patrick, French Champions of Endurance Roland Couhet, Araud Bourreau, Thomas Favolini and Italians Michele Cadei, Christian Bousquet and Stefano Ciani.

 

The two days of action take place off Praia de Rocha with registration and technical scrutineering on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, with round 1 Ski division kick starting the action at midday on Saturday and followed out onto the water by Runabout. Round 2 starts with Ski on Sunday and followed by Runabout in the afternoon.
