RODRIGUES QUICKEST IN SKI GP3

Friday, 31 May, OLBIA (Italy): Portugal’s Goncalo Rodrigues was the best of the field of 13 and grabbed top spot in Ski GP3 qualifying with a best lap of 1:51.15s to jump ahead of 2017 Ski GP1 world champion Quinten Bossche, back on the UIM-ABP tour for the first time this season, who topped the time sheets early in the 15 minute session with a 1:51.48s lap but was unable to improve.

 

Barnabas Szabo left it late and jumped up from nowhere to go third quickest with 1:53.49 on his final flying lap with the chequered flag already being shown, Mattias Reinaas in fourth with his best time, 1:53.58, set on his first flying lap and two-time GP1 world champion Jennifer Menard impressive on her tour return for the first time since 2016, going fifth quickest.
