PORTUGUESE RIDERS LOOKING FOR SUCCESS IN VLADIVOSTOK

Tuesday, 6 August: The Portuguese Federation of Jet Ski Competition will be well represented in the UIM-ABP Aquabike Rally Jet World Championship in Russia with two three-rider teams and a single rider entry heading to Vladivostok for Russky Offshore 2013, 12-17 August.

 

The Portuguese riders will take on 21 teams from Belgium, France, Finland, Guadeloupe, Thailand, Turkey, Switzerland and Russia; Carlos Truta leads out Samuka Racing alongside Antonio Curtinhal and Filipe Filipe, with countrymen Rafael Oliveira, Rui Silva and Andres Sousa in Team 50 Jetdrive, and Paulo Dias completing the Portuguese entry.

 

Born in Lisbon and living in Sintra, 42-year old Truta made his competitive debut in 2005 and has gone on to win a host of F1 and F2 titles in endurance events in international, national and regional competition. Antonio Curtinal, also from Sintra, is a 42 times race winner.

 

Completing the Samuka line up is Lisbon resident Filipe Filipe, a national super stock Champion and Iberian closed-course Champion in F1.
