KARUJET LOSES A FOUNDING FATHER

Friday, 29 May:  H2O Racing has learned of the very sad news that Jacques Boucher, a founding father of the World famous Karujet, has died, aged 62. “It is very, very sad news for everyone who knew Jacques. Our thoughts at this difficult time go out to all his family.” said Raimondo di San Germano.

 

Jacques’ legacy is the Karujet, arguably the greatest offshore [Aquabike] event in the World and described as an ’animal that his hard to tame’.

 

Along with his great friend Eric Paulin, what began as a challenge between two friends to race around the stunning Caribbean Island, has, since its creation in 1997 achieved iconic and legendary status, and in 2006 was recognised by the sport’s World Governing Body, the UIM, affording it World Championship status.
