RESCHEDULED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DATES AND VENUE FOR SKI JUNIOR

Tuesday, 11 April: Aquabike Promotion and the Portuguese National Federation have confirmed rescheduled dates for the Ski Junior World Championship which will now take place on 23-25 June in Douro, Portugal.

The highly successful format of a one event world championship for Runabout GP2 & 3, Ski GP2 & 3 and Ski Junior was introduced last year in Denia, Spain and this year takes place at the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship season opener in Porto Cesareo on 2-4 June, with Runabout GP4 replacing GP3.

The Ski Juniors will get there opportunity to take centre stage and bid for world titles a couple of weeks later, competing at the final round of the UIM-ABP Aquabike European Continental Championship.

Last year’s Ski Junior category was dominated by Estonian duo, Mattias Reinaas and Marten Manni, each taking maximum points in their respective classes, Ski GP3.2 and GP3.3 to clinch the titles.
