Wednesday, January 3: French racer Jessica Chavanne has won the prestigious 2023 UIM Driver of the Year award.

The aerospace engineer clinched her second Ski Ladies GP1 World Championship title by winning the Grand Prix of Lake Toba-Indonesia. Her first success came in 2020 but her most recent championship-winning season saw her claim four Moto wins, a second place and a third overall, including Grand Prix victories in both Sardinia and Indonesia.

Slovakian racer Simon Jung was awarded the 2023 UIM Junior Driver of the Year.
