Saturday, May 31 - Roberto Mariani took full advantage of his pole position to secure victory in the first of the weekend’s two Freestyle Motos. The Italian’s spectacular array of spins and somersaults impressed the judges and he scored 182 points. 

Italy’s Massimo Accumolo finished second, 22 behind his fellow countryman, and Portugal’s Paulo Nuñes was third (128pts).  Germany’s Thomas Wolf finished fourth with 100 points for various forms of content, quality and variety after the judges’ assessments.
