Sunday, June 1st - The Grand Prix of Poland, a weekend full of excitement and spectacular performances. came to a close with the Freestyle.
Defending European champion Roberto Mariani added a second Moto win to his success on Saturday evening to secure Grand Prix victory in the Freestyle category.
Mariani impressed the judges again with his varied display of somersaults, flips and spins and amassed 191 points from the different judging categories.
Italy’s Massimo Accumolo was second - only five points behind his fellow countryman - Portugal’s Paulo Nuñes was third (161 points) and Germany’s Thomas Wolf (120 points) also scored well amongst the more established stars of the sport.
The Grand Prix of Poland concluded with the awarding ceremony attended, among the others, by the mayor of Warta, Krystian Krogulecki and Tomasz Wencel, vice president of the Polish Motorboat and Waterki Association.
The second round of the Aquabike European Continental Championship will take place in Mira, Portugal on 4-6 July.
