ADVANCED PROGRAM ANNOUNCED FOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP AND JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS IN GYŐR, HUNGARY

Tuesday, May 26th - The advance program for racing in Győr, Hungary, has been announced, promising a weekend packed with action for both the UIM Aquabike European Continental Championship and the UIM Aquabike Junior World Championship.

The single-round Junior World Championship categories are Ski GP3.3, Ski GP3.2, and Runabout GP4. These will run alongside the European Championship categories: Ski GP1, GP2, GP3, and GP4; Ski Ladies GP1; Ski GP4 Junior; Runabout GP1, GP2, and GP4, Runabout Ladies GP4 and Freestyle.

The lakeside paddock opens on Thursday, July 16, with rider registration and scrutineering taking place throughout the day. On-water action begins the following day, with free practice and qualifying for all categories starting from 9am on Friday, July 17.

The first competitive races will also take place on Friday, July 17, with Moto 1 for Ski GP3, Runabout GP4, Ski GP4 Junior, Ski GP4, Runabout Ladies GP4, and the Junior World Championship category Ski GP3.2 scheduled from 4:30pm. The day concludes with Freestyle pole position qualifying at 7:15pm.

The opening ceremony of the Grand Prix will take place from 8:15pm in Győrzámoly.

All categories will then race on Saturday, July 18, with Moto 1 for the remaining categories running from 9am to 12:30pm, followed by the first Moto 2 races between 1:30pm and 5:30pm. As in previous years, the Freestyle competition will form part of the town of Győr’s night show following a parade starting at 6:30pm.

The final day of racing is Sunday, July 19, beginning at 9am with the remaining Moto 2 races and the first European Championship Moto 3 races. From 2pm, the Moto 3 races for the Junior World Championship categories will take place, followed by the remaining European Championship categories, including Freestyle, which will close the weekend of racing.

The Prizegiving Ceremony for the event — organised through a collaboration between Aquabike Promotion and the Hungarian Jet Sports Federation — will take place from 7pm, crowning the 2026 Junior World Champions as well as the winners of this round of the European Continental Championship.
