Monday, September 14: The advanced program for the Regione Sardegna Grand Prix of Italy, which marks the second round of this season’s UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Circuit World Championship, has been published.

Racing returns to the Sardinian city of Olbia, which has established itself as one of the leading and most loved fixtures on the Aquabike circuit. As with last year, the Grand Prix is set to be the busiest of the year, since it includes the single-round World Championship races for the Ski GP2, Ski GP3, Ski GP4, Runabout GP2, Runabout GP4, and Runabout GP4 Ladies categories.

The paddock opens on Wednesday, October 14, with rider registrations beginning the following day from 9am until 6pm. Racing begins on Friday, October 16, with Free Practice sessions in the morning from 9am, followed by Pole Position qualifying. The day then ends with the first Moto 1s of the Grand Prix, which take place from 4.45pm.

Saturday, October 17 promises to be a day of non-stop racing action, beginning from 9.30am as Moto 1s take place for the remaining categories. With all Moto 1s completed, Moto 2 races begin from 1.30pm for all categories, and the day finishes with the first Freestyle Moto of the weekend, set to take place just before the Sardinian sun sets on the paddock.

The last day of racing on Sunday, October 18 starts with one hour of Free Practice for the GP1 categories from 9.30am. At 10.30am, Moto 3s get underway, and they take up the rest of the day until 6pm. With racing over, the weekend’s winners will immediately be crowned at the Prize Giving Ceremony. Those in the GP1 categories will receive their trophies for their performances in their second Aquabike World Championship round of the season, whereas those in the other categories, for whom the weekend represents the single-round Aquabike World Championship, will be crowned both winners of the Regione Sardegna Grand Prix of Italy, as well as 2026 World Champions.
